A worldwide fashion group in its own right, Bestseller has grown in over 70 countries with more than a handful of brands under its belt, including Vero Moda, Mamalicious, Junarose, Y.A.S, Jack & Jones, Only, Pieces and many more. That said, this naturally translates into the need for an office complex that’s large enough to house about 800 employees whilst having sufficient public space to display the company’s design-driven corporate identity.

Thanks to the creatives at C.F. Møller Architects, Bestseller is now at home with a mixture of office buildings and outdoor spaces located at the Aarhus Port, which is a perfect location to showcase ingenuity, vision and beauty from all angles. At a glance, one may assume that the office complex is simply wrapped up in lines and many windows, but take a look inside and you’d find symmetry, well-thought details and architectural planning all in one.

Connected by a series of outdoor spaces like the atria, courtyards, terraces and roof gardens, the Bestseller office complex seems to create the impression of a town within a town — only that this ‘town’ is surrounded by canals and lakes on all four sides! Thanks to the reflection of the crystal clear waters, the building’s elegance sparkles whilst the structure’s posture can only make C.F. Møller Architects beam with pride.

Moreover, the building presents the perfect balance between metropolitan aesthetics and nature as the location at Denmark’s second largest city in itself is impressive. Besides the waters, Aarhus is a vibrant cultural centre and this background highly contrasts with the structure’s façades that are clad with natural stones from Sicily, giving the rows of simple transparent glass façades even more definition once the sunlight hits them.

As a matter of fact, the individual buildings vary between one to 12 storeys, expressing the fluidity of its design-focused business. What’s more, it has all the facilities a well-established company needs: office space, showrooms, photo and film studios, an auditorium and a generous canteen-restaurant area, plus a three-storey car park with space for 450 cars, 400 bicycle racks and a goods reception zone below street level. Even somewhere between 500 to 1,000 people can gather on the plateau, stairs and balconies for large-scale fashion shows and meetings… Wonderful!

True to its commitment in producing sustainable designs and architectural interpretations, this Bestseller office complex is integrated with seawater cooling and solar energy systems, making it a low energy class 2015 building that consumes 50 percent less energy than the minimum requirements stated in the building regulations.
