The elegant loft space that is TEKNI PJ hummed with anticipation as a private crowd of industry professionals gathered for our much-awaited book launch last Friday

Our brand new book, Inspiring Interiors Across Asia (IIAA), features some of Asia’s best designers and their incredible projects. These award-winning designers are celebrated for their pioneering approaches to use of materials, and are wellsprings of inspiration for both industry professionals and design enthusiasts alike. Washed in the space’s endless skylight, a group of four speakers took center stage amidst a backdrop of curated pieces by TEKNI to discuss their featured works in the inaugural edition of IIAA. The four designers engaged in a lively conversation with CEO of ACGMEDIA, Alvin Chang, alongside author of IIAA, Monisha Sivanesan, sharing insights on their triumphant journeys in design and some of the challenges they faced in their past projects.

Among them was IDr Lai Siew Hong, a prodigy in commercial design whose innovative spaces have garnered international acclaim. The panel also featured IDr Ooi Boon Seong, celebrated for his continuous improvement approach to design while transforming spaces with expertise. Joining him was Ar Dr Tan Loke Mun, known for his eco-conscious ModTrop architecture that seamlessly blends sustainability with contemporary aesthetics. Rounding out the quartet was Kezia Karin, a visionary in the Indonesian design world, known for creating luxurious and cutting-edge environments that captivate. Together, these luminaries inspired the audience with talks of their creative processes and the behind-the-scenes of their featured works in IIAA.

As they absorb the forward-thinking ideas that permeated the space, our attendees mingled while savoring artisanal hors d’oeuvres paired with rosé and signature mocktails. With Jake Chow, founder of Dot Works, at the spin table as our DJ, the atmosphere was electric! The event culminated in a book giving presentation by Juliet Hong, Media Director at ACGMEDIA, to the featured designers in attendance, highlighting their achievements and opening up dialogues as they networked through the evening.
