Infusing trendy industrial designs with elements of the hip and urban chic, designers wonderfully capture the brand’s image and it’s all plain to see in the end-product that is Fire Fitness. Daring black and brazen red tones depict the brand’s identity resulting in the elegant and exclusive with a twist of sumptuousness that sets apart this gym from the rest; although it doesn’t even appear as one – at first glance.
As gym-goers first step foot inside the gym they could easily mistake the place for anything but a gym until they notice the gym gloves hanging neatly along the wall. As they continue ambling deeper inside they’re bound to notice more blacks and reds accented occasionally with greys, browns and whites; mostly subtle and natural tones. They’re also bound to notice three main rooms: Ride, Strike and Stride which are where the high intensity spinning classes, boxing and martial arts drills and cardio and strength training are held respectively.
Unlike most gyms, Fire Fitness is designed as an enclosed space without the typical use of ample natural lighting and wide-open doors and windows. Although, 3D brickworks, possessing the illusion of fluidity, were specially built for the gym to help with ventilation; but as always with these designers, combining aesthetics with functionality is a norm and so the brickworks are an artform in and of itself.
Consistent to the Fire Fitness branding the décor comprise of either dark shades or bold red letters – some even lit up with coloured lights – and customised fixtures. One that perhaps stands out the most is a centrepiece of the Ride room: old bicycles repainted to camouflage with the black and red wall they hang off from and of course the word Ride that’s painted in stark red. Strike: the room where all the punching and kicking happens is also mostly enamelled with black and red – and aptly so – along with an elaborate artwork of a young Muhammad Ali and his rival made of washers.
The finished product of the collaboration between the Fire Fitness and Dsgnpholio teams are nothing short of remarkable: a gym that embodies a clear and strong message. Its founders not only preach but practise their philosophy of “igniting and fuelling one’s inner motivation”; what a wonderfully explosive mantra to live by.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
