Realising that there weren’t a lot of skilled wood workers within the younger generation, the dynamic duo, Nora and Kamaro decided to start working with timber and eventually specialised in cabinetry, as they felt that their passion for woodworking and skills complemented each other perfectly. With this seed of thought, KANORA IDEA – a name that came about from combining the couple’s names was conceptualised.

Having been in the industry for almost 6 years, KANORA IDEA has made a name for themselves among its clientele and has firmly established themselves as a cabinet specialist. From kitchen cabinets to custom cabinets and everything in between, the couple are professionals when it comes to all things related to making cabinets. Having their own factory is a blessing as they are able to overlook every single process from A to Z. The products are all manufactured in-house, where from the design and cutting to creating and installing, is all handled by their skilled team.

With clienteles of different calibre such as homeowners, interior designers and even contractors – they have a plethora of projects under their belt. Not only do they have experiences in both residential and commercial projects, KANORA IDEA also specialises in ready made cabinetry such as small tabletop, stand-alone cabinets, and vanity tables for both adults and children, which goes to show that they have a hand at a number of timber products that are both customised and ready-made.

From the buying behaviour of their customers, the company believes that timber will be an everlasting trend that has no expiration date. Timber has been used for centuries and it does not look like it is going away anytime soon, especially with the rise of interest among their customers. Besides that, the support from the Malaysian Timber Industry (MTIB) partnership has also helped small businesses like theirs to expand further in the timber industry and gain more exposure.

As they continue to further strengthen their roots in the industry, KANORA IDEA has plans to specialise in the niche market of cabinet doors, as they noticed that there was a demand from customers of wanting uniquely designed cabinet doors, which allows the customers the option to update their cabinets without breaking the bank when new trends roll in. Furthermore, the company plans to expand their reach up North in the peninsular.
