Movent is a well-established interior design firm in Malaysia. The company started operating in 2014 after two like-minded friends who shared the same values and ultimate goals in life founded Movent. They went on to introduce the Mécila range of kitchen and wardrobe solutions to consumers as part of their effort in enhancing the lifestyle of fellow Malaysians. Mécila is a French-inspired luxury brand that provides a range of designer kitchen, wardrobe and furnishings. During one of his globetrotting experiences over 10 years ago, Irvin spent time with a French family who ran a handcrafted kitchenware business in France.
The encounter sparked an idea within Irvin as he brought the brand into Malaysian soil. The cabinets and wardrobes of Mécila exude a timeless quality of class and sophistication of French designs that are aesthetically appealing, yet easily assimilated into any interior structure of a house. Constructed primarily from high-quality melamine wood, the cabinets are also easily maintained in comparison to other materials such as plywood or solid timber. Each Mécila is made-to-measure, ensuring that consumers end up with a cabinetry system that accommodates their aesthetic and functional needs.
This reflects Movent’s attention to detail and the company’s commitment to its clients as it goes above and beyond to deliver results without compromisation. In order to serve its clients better, Movent is considering expanding partnerships with experienced designers and architects to produce series of luxury home designs and contemporary fully handmade furniture. For providing creative lifestyle solutions, Movent was awarded the Metropolitan Home Trusted Brand Awards 2018 for the title of “Best Kitchen & Wardrobe” for introducing Mécila to Malaysian consumers.
