However, Yong Studio Sdn Bhd drew from its experiences in personalising designs that utilises rustic elements, Scandinavian furniture and knowledge in interior architecture to make the best out of the interior and the surrounding environment.

In this 4,000 square feet double-storey terrace, the firm has employed its skills and creativity to provide a secured indoor garden that acts as an anchor for its living and dining area, made possible from the construction of an Othello-inspired privacy wall. Full height sliding glass doors enable the owners to remove the barrier between the living room and the garden, which further enhances the warmth of its rustic material selections used to decorate the living room. Under natural lighting, the exposed brick wall pops out from the rest of the background.

Contrasted with smooth Scandinavian furniture pieces, the space exudes a naturally laid back vibe that is great for a communal space for friends and family. Similarly, the dining area is furnished with finesse to keep it open and functional. There is a seamless flow between the spaces, which adds to the level of comfort they provide.

Separated with a sliding door, the kitchen is designed as a versatile area that can work as a combined space with the rest of the common areas or as a standalone space for meal preparations. Yong Studio had also opted for dark blue coloured finishes to introduce a calming atmosphere on top of ensuring that the surfaces are easily maintained.

Practicality was also considered when it comes to the bedroom designs as the spaces are modeled after a minimalistic concept with the help of functional tailor-made furniture and simple but modern-centric wall features that place the emphasis on offering a soothing space made for resting and sleeping.
